Research Partnerships
Meet Dr. Diana Milowitz, a distinguished leader in cardiovascular medicine dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of acute aortic dissections. At Remembrin’ Benjamin, we proudly support the groundbreaking work of Dr. Milowitz’s and other leading researchers, and we invite you to join us in making a tangible difference.
Acute aortic dissections pose a grave threat to countless lives, with staggering mortality rates even in the age of advanced medicine. Dr. Milowitz’s research offers a glimmer of hope amidst this darkness. Through diligent genetic analysis, she and her team have already identified over 20 genes associated with this condition. However, the journey is far from over. With your support, we can propel Dr. Milowitz’s research to new heights, expanding our understanding and ultimately saving lives.
Your contributions to Remembrin’ Benjamin directly impact Dr. Milowitz’s ability to pursue her vital work. Every dollar donated fuels the engine of discovery, enabling her team to delve deeper into the genetic landscape of acute aortic dissections. Through international collaborations and access to biobanks, Dr. Milowitz is poised to uncover even more crucial genetic markers that could revolutionize how we diagnose and treat this devastating condition.
Behind every breakthrough is a story of resilience and determination. Bruce and Carol, the founders of Remembrin’ Benjamin, understand this better than anyone. Their tireless efforts to honor their son’s memory by funding research have already made a profound impact. Your participation in events like our upcoming golf tournament not only honors their legacy but also ensures that Dr. Milowitz and her team have the resources they need to continue their life-saving work.
Join us in rewriting the narrative of acute aortic dissections. With your support, Remembrin’ Benjamin is not just funding research; we’re investing in a future where lives are no longer lost to this silent killer.
Together, we can make a difference. Join our cause today and be a part of something truly transformative.
Education
When Bruce Bradford first heard the diagnosis of his son, Benjamin, he had never heard the words “aortic dissection,” and had never considered aortic or vascular disease to be a risk to his family. As with many diseases, we may never hear of these serious risks until it is too late.
As the medical community continues to research and understand aortic and vascular diseases more fully, we seek to work with our research partners to bring this information to a wider audience. Our goals for the future include exploring new ways to bring life-saving information about screening, prevention, and early detection to at-risk individuals.
We have a long way to determining the who, where, and hows of bringing this education to the audiences that need to know about this disease, but we know it is important work that we are determined to make part of our future goals.
Advocacy
We understand the challenges faced by patients and families affected by vascular and aortic diseases. Our mission goes beyond funding research; we strive to be a beacon of support and empowerment for those navigating these complex medical journeys.
Our advocacy efforts extend beyond the digital realm, with initiatives aimed at raising awareness and driving positive change in the fight against vascular and aortic diseases. Through educational events, outreach programs, and partnerships with healthcare organizations, we’re working to amplify the voices of patients and families, ensuring that their needs and concerns are heard and addressed.
At Remembrin’ Benjamin, we believe in the power of unity and collective action. By coming together as a community, we can break down barriers, challenge stigmas, and pave the way for a brighter future for all those affected by vascular and aortic diseases. Join us in our advocacy efforts and let’s make a difference together.
Join the fight.
The battle to find preventative screening, detection, eduction and treatment for vascular abnormalities like aortic dissection will be a long-lasting one. We’re determined to continue to honor and remember Benjamin and many other lost loved ones by leading the charge in research and eduction of this terrible disease.
